If you want privacy, then our rustic vacation mountain cabins are for you. Our cabins are not in big subdivisions where you have cabin beside cabin. They are private; they sit on 2 to 12 acres of quiet, wooded settings, with mountain views around you. No major roads close by so there isn’t any traffic noise. These are some of the nicest log cabins in our area.  A word about cleanliness. Rest assure that the cabins are clean. We pride ourselves on keeping it that way. We are a small owner of cabin rentals, and we clean them ourselves.

With a seasonal creek and being 15 mins to Luray Caverns, swimming holes, tubing and kayak rentals, guests staying at the campground can experience a week stay easily. Each RV campsite has a fire ring and picnic table. There is a small shower house and separate bathroom. Campers can purchase ice or firewood or other small conveniences needed while tenting. Fort Valley The campground at Fort Valley Ranch is only 15 mins to 2 touristic towns for all the campers modern conveniences, shopping and wineries. Sherando Lake Recreation Area is known locally as the jewel of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The town of Luray is quaint and very visitor friendly.  You will find numerous antique shops, food and drink from ice cream and coffee shops to food shacks, great bar-b-cue and gourmet dining, all within walking distance.  You can even get legal moonshine at the local ABC store! Yea-Ha!  If you want to work off those luscious calories you can take a stroll on the town ‘Greenway’ walk along the Hawksbill Creek, a short walk in itself from the South Court Inn.

The Stokesville Campground was called the Stokesville Park for 50 years and is still known as such by the locals. It is just a great place to spend the day. Let us know if you want to come ride – hike – relax or fish. You can pay our day use fee at the Stokesville Market from 6:30 am to 9 pm.  Pay AND obtain your pass before you enter. Anyone not doing so in this order can be charged with trespassing. The pavilion bathrooms are open.

Guests need to only bring their clothes, their toiletries, and their groceries as the owners have stocked these properties with all the comforts of home so that you only need to come, relax, and enjoy the mountains!

Here at Shenandoah Hills Campground, our sites are tucked away into a forest setting and are just waiting to become your cozy vacation home. Some of our sites have water and electric and our full hookup sites will easily accommodate larger RVs. We have 67 sites in all, as well as some rental units.

Shenandoah Hills Campground is the most amazing and wonderful place for you to laze away the days by the pool or take a luxuriating nap in the shade. Built in 1840, The Lafayette Inn is a historic landmark. It has served as a community centerpiece of the area accommodating the needs of stage coach travelers and local residents. The building has served as a hotel, restaurant, saloon, boarding house and as a hospital during the Civil War. In more recent times it housed the first Stanardsville telephone exchange and the local newspaper.

The Lafayette is designed in Federalist style with three levels and sweeping colonnaded porches. The frame is of hand-hewn mortise and tenon beams with fifteen-inch-thick walls of local red brick.

Welcome to the Shenandoah Valley Campground, Mt. Jackson, Virginia.  We built our campground in 2012 and opened in May 2013.  We are a family owned and operated campground located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley that offers lots of amenities to make your future stay with us unforgettable.

This open area campground was originally constructed as a CCC camp. Evidence of the original sites and logging trails still remain today. North River Gorge is a popular hiking, biking, and fishing area with a swinging bridge spanning the North River. Close proximity to Wild Oak National Recreation Trail, Stanton Dam Day Use Area and Elkhorn Lake provide multiple recreational options that are easily accessible within a few miles.

Shenandoah River Raymond R. “Andy” Guest Jr. State Park, known generally as Shenandoah River State Park, is a state park near the town of Bentonville, Virginia. The park was established in 1994, and covers 1,619 acres along the South Fork Shenandoah River.

This park is on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River and has more than 1,600 acres along 5.2 miles of shoreline. The park opened in June 1999. In addition to the meandering river frontage, the park offers scenic views of Massanutten Mountain to the west and Shenandoah National Park to the east. A large riverside picnic area, picnic shelters, trails, river access and a car-top boat launch make this a popular destination for families, anglers and canoeists. Ten riverfront tent campsites, a campground with water and electric sites, cabins, camping cabins and a group campground are available. With more than 24 miles of trails, the park has plenty of options for hiking, biking, horseback riding and adventure.

Papa Bear’s River Cabin is  located along the Shenandoah River. This private rental cabin offers the guest a quiet and secluded place to enjoy their Shenandoah Valley Vacation.
